Design

This map takes place in an abandoned construction site. As the construction is deteriorating, the player must traverse through unfinished structures and get to the exit zone before the water which becomes acid and then lava catches up to them. The map is filled with many unfinished construction work, such as concrete pillars and unfinished floors. Scaffolding, boxes, planks and other construction material is used as platforming. In the last area of the map, the player will enter a large unfinished building area with lava below the floor.

Trivia

• Construction Thrill was one of many maps to have been posted on the Crazyblox Games Forums before being added to the game.

• Its revamp was also posted to the forums.

• This map is the first in-game map to have an official track composed by DominoContributing.

• Construction Thrill is also the first map in FE2 in which its soundtrack is a 'Community OST', an OST that isn't made by Navola, BSlick, or Crazyblox. The 2nd map to do so is Magmatic Mines in which its OST is composed by Blastii.

• However, the soundtrack was remastered by Navola when the map was added.

• Construction Thrill has been redone/revamped multiple times; twice before being added into Flood Escape 2 and a year after being added.

• The main idea of Construction Thrill came from Sawmill Thrill, a level in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

• The map previously had two BGMs prior to using DominoContributing's track: originally it was Sawmill Thrill from Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and then Minor Turbulence from Grand Theft Auto V.

• There is an easter egg near the beginning of the map with an image of the Doge Lisa featuring one of the testers of the map, TheLivingPepsi.

• There was another secret that was inside the platform underneath the third button containing the image of Baljeet Tjinder, a character in the cartoon series Phineas and Ferb, which was removed in the map's update on December 9, 2021. It was probably due to avoid copyright infringement from Disney.

• In the updated version of Construction Thrill after the 2021 Winter Update, the 3rd button is now a group button.

• Players were able to glitch out of the map by using the corner glitch at the beginning of the map. This was patched in December 2021 as Roblox patched Corner Clipping.

• On December 9, 2021, the map was refreshed, which was mostly a design update. Other changes include the 3rd button changed to a group button and the lights in the final room will start to turn off at exactly 1:35, timed with the end of the song loop.

• If a Rescue Mission is activated on this map, the escapee will be located on a platform by the truss in the 4th and 5th buttons area.

• The escapee for this map is a Forgotten Worker instead of a randomly selected avatar. The escapee's appearance used to be a randomly selected avatar, but was replaced when the map got refreshed.

• This makes Construction Thrill the second map where the randomized selected avatar was replaced with a new custom escapee, the first is Blue Moon.

• During a Lost Page Map Event, the Lost Page will be found behind a box that is located in front of the 4th button.
