Design

The map takes place in a forsaken catacomb, located underground. The chambers are dimly lit, with the only source of light is the lava flooding the gaps in the floor. The map has three main rooms, which are connected by passageways: one is a hallway, while the other is a tunnel. The monochromatic yellow walls give off a somber atmosphere.

Event

This is no longer in the game as it was exclusively for the ROBLOX Labyrinth Event.

After pressing the 1st button and going to the newly opened hallway, there's a hole which has a cyan button. The cyan button unlocks a faster route to the last section of the map. Upon reaching the end of the room, run and jump into the "E" Token to claim your event prize. You could be given a Hidden Treasure called the Minotaur Mask during this event and you would have also been awarded a badge for completing the event.

Trivia

• This used to be an event map during the Labyrinth Event which could give a prize upon following a hidden route to find a Hidden Treasure. Upon its first addition, it had 3 normal and 2 secret buttons. This map was removed after the event concluded, but returned the following Christmas.

• This is the only map in the game where the liquid would rise diagonally, similarly to the Code Breaker room in the original Flood Escape, although this only happens in the first hallway.

• Forgotten Tombs is currently the only exclusive event map in Flood Escape 2.

• This is the first and currently the only map to have a path and buttons exclusive to an event. When this map was re-added, the event route can still be accessed through a glitch. Although the buttons are no longer functional.

• Forgotten Tombs, along with Flood Island and Lost Woods, have the same amount of normal and group buttons.

• Because of this, they have the least buttons out of all the official maps, at three.

• Forgotten Tombs is one of few Normal maps to naturally have lava. The other maps are Cave System, Construction Thrill, Northern Mill.

• Other maps such as Flood Island and Fall Equinox, do eventually have lava as a final liquid.

• Forgotten Tombs is also the only Normal Map to only have lava as its flood.

• This is one of the 2 Normal Maps where water is not present, the other being Sky Sanctuary.

• In the small passageway to the last room, a non-collidable door will start closing once the lava floods the 2nd room.

• The map shared the same OST with Lava Tower, before being changed to get its own one.

• This is also the first map to be made by Crazyblox and composed by BSlick, instead of Manel Navola.

• It was once stated by Crazyblox in a livestream that this map would never return, however it returned when the 2018 Christmas Update came out.

• There is a shortcut to press the first button. When you jump on the first box, instead of jumping to get to the second box, jump up to the stone lining above you and you can walk on it to get to the button.

• Many players consider the first jumps to be hard as you can hit your head on the ceiling and fall into the lava.

• On December 12, 2017, 4 pictures[1][2][3][4] were posted on Discord. They show an old version of Forgotten Tombs.

• If a Rescue Mission is activated on this map, the escapee will be located in the second button's room on a platform.

• During a Lost Page Map Event, the Lost Page will be found in a hole in the hallway to the 2nd button's room.

• This is also the same hole that contains the 1st secret button during the Labyrinth event.
