Design

The map is set in a temple that has been flooded by the gods, prompting players to escape. Initially, players navigate through the temple's water-filled chambers before ascending on the surrounding hills. The environment outside the temple features pebble paths, a large statue, lush trees, and drifting leaf particles. Finally, at the exit region, players are presented with a view of the entire map from atop a dark cavern, indicating the way out.

• This map has the same aesthetics as Realm of the Ancient Gods, but it was made long after Forsaken Era.

• This is the only Easy map to not have any Group Buttons.

• Forsaken Era is the only in-game map without group buttons that doesn't have 5 buttons.

• This map was made 3 years before it got added to the game.

• This is the seventh Easy Map added to Flood Escape 2.

• The statue in the outside area is non-collidable.

• The door opening noises can be heard in the Lobby.

• Forsaken Era was one of many maps to have been posted on the Crazyblox Games Forums before being added to the game.

• Its 3rd Anniversary revamp was also posted on the forums.

• The in-game soundtrack was released on Roblox Library 10 days before the map was officially added.

• This is the second map in Flood Escape 2 made by ElectroBlast199, the first being Mysterium.

• Even before being added, Forsaken Era had high expectations and was among speculation.

• This is the second map added to Flood Escape 2 in 2021. The first being Magmatic Mines.

• This map's OST was being used by Satomi Springs until the February 7, 2023 update, as Satomi Springs now uses a new OST.

• If a Rescue Mission is activated on this map, the escapee will be located on a platform above the door to the outside section of the map.

• Before October 23, 2021, Forsaken Era was the only map to not include a Rescue Mission Event.

• In-game, the image used for Forsaken Era shows a very old version of the map.

• During a Lost Page Map Event, the Lost Page will be found in the fifth button's room. To reach it, jump into the water to the right immediately after entering the room.

• The Lost Page used to be found in the 4th button's room but it was relocated when the map got revamped.
