Design

Marred Dream is set in a mysterious valley on a planet-like landscape, painted in shades of purple and lavender. The environment boasts rolling hills, caves, glowing white crystals, woodlands, and vibrant pink-leaved trees, all under a starry sky. An acid lake at the center, spinning and rising, will rise gradually. The map is surrounded with giant spinning diamonds, and features bridges and boxes for navigation. A blurry DepthOfField effect enhances the backdrop, while the outer dark green grass adds to the aesthetics. The map's end zone is marked by a glowing green ground. It is suggested that there is a connection between this map and Fallen.

Trivia

• With a difficulty rating of 1.9, this makes Marred Dreams the hardest Easy Map in the game.

• Marred Dreams was added to Flood Escape 2 on November 16, 2020, being the 5th Easy Map added to the game.

• It is also the first Easy Map made by Crazyblox and the first map added since the release of Blue Moon on July 17, 2019.

• The giant diamonds that are surrounding the map are the same crystals that can be found in Fallen (Classic).

• This is the 2nd Easy map where there is no water present. The 1st is Poisonous Valley.

• Crazyblox recorded a short teaser of him playing the map on Twitter.

• This is the 4th map to have its OST composed by Crazyblox; following Beneath The Ruins, Dark Sci-Facility. and Dark Sci-Forest.

• This is also the first Easy map to have its OST composed by Crazyblox.

• The map was released 4 hours after the soundtrack released on YouTube.

• Marred Dreams has a DepthOfField effect, meaning if you were to have high graphics, the map would look blurry at a distance.

• Marred Dreams is one of the few maps Crazyblox has streamed its development on Twitch.

• Marred Dreams is one of the few FE2 maps that have taken the least amount of time to make, as it took around 2-3 weeks. Fallen (Classic) also didn't take very long, as it was made in 6 hours.

• Similarly to Sinking Ship, this map has no Exit blocks.

• When the map was still in development, Crazyblox uploaded 1 photo, and 2 videos on Twitter.

• If a Rescue Mission is activated on this map, the escapee will be located on ground level near the second button.

• During a Lost Page Map Event, the Lost Page will be found beneath the spawn.

• The map's OST video on YouTube is the last one to use the old Flood Escape 2 logo.

• The crystals found in Marred Dreams are the Plumbobs from The Sims series, but modified as evident in this video here.

• It also shows Crazyblox running the map but everything falls apart due to it not being anchored.

• The acid in the map spins when the round begins. But once the acid begins to slowly rise, it mysteriously stops spinning.

• This was the first map to be added to Flood Escape 2 in the 2020s.
