Design
The map takes place in a black-and-white dimension, surrounded by gigantic crystals and crumbling platforms. This map maintains its theme using ColorCorrection, which gives the map its monochromaticity. If you are too slow, the platforms will slowly fade until they disappear and you can fall into lava in the fog below the platforms.
Trivia
Fallen (Classic) was released a day after Marred Dreams was released.
This makes this the shortest gap between when 2 maps were added, being only 1 day.
Not only that, this map and Fallen uses the soundtrack for Marred Dreams, but in reverse and with the percussion removed.
According to a 2020 Q&A in the Flood Escape 2 Discord, Crazyblox said that this map took 6 hours to create, making it the map that took the least time to make.
Fallen (Classic) is the 30th map that has been added to Flood Escape 2, excluding Autumn Hideaway and Northern Workshop.
This map was removed on April 1, 2022 due to being criticized by the community for being rushed and low quality, which prompted Crazyblox to release the revamped version.
This was reversed during V50_04, after fans requested it to return. However Fallen, the revamp version, still remains in the game.
This map shares the distinction of being re-added with Forgotten Tombs.
The lava in this map does not rise, as the only threat to the player is the disappearing platforms. It also makes it the only map in the game with that distinction.
If you manage to slip through the gap between the ExitBlock and the floating island at the end, you can end up in the lava below and be out of bounds after winning.
Fallen (Classic) has the longest zipline in the game.
Fallen (Classic) is one of the many Hard Maps to has its flood start off with lava. The other maps that share the same characteristic are Lava Tower, Dark Sci-Forest, Graveyard Cliffside, Sedimentary Temple, Sunken Citadel, Relic Valley, Poisonous Forest, and Toxic Woods.
When a Rescue Mission is activated on this map, the escapee will be located on a small platform right beside the path to the 2nd button.
During a Lost Page Map Event, the Lost Page will be found on an island on the path to the 4th button.
When in Low Detail mode, the Greyscale effect applied to this map disappears and the map will have a blue color scheme.
