Decrepit Seas, as its name suggests, takes place in cave-like area under or at the sea. There are two large rooms, each filled with many buttons and various decor. There are many sea plants sticking out, and many anchors and glowing mines hanging from chains. There are also many rusted ladders, boxes, and other ocean-like decorations. In the second area, the player will encounter a ruined sunken ship. At the end, players will have to swim to press the last button and get to the exit.
Trivia
The spawn area is known for being a troll spot as the water (named _water1) can't reach the tip of the tunnel, creating a gap for players to survive.
The picture of a muscular WoodReviewer can be found in the wrecked ship. This photo also appears behind the safe zone of the Gloomy Manor and in the final room of Wild Savannah.
The map was originally an Easy Map, but was changed to Normal when the map was added to the main game.
This map shared the same ID with Sky Sanctuary, Snowy Peaks, Wild Savannah, Gloomy Manor, Lost Desert and Omitted Temple in FE2 Community Maps Legacy.
In FE2 Community Maps Legacy, Decrepit Seas was still listed as an Easy Map and it didn't use its OST. This is because rareheaddress didn't update this map and the other maps she made in FE2CM Legacy.
This also makes it one of 4 maps that used to have a different difficulty before being added to Flood Escape 2. The other maps being Crystal Caverns, Snowy Peaks and Sedimentary Temple.
Similarly to Wild Savannah and Cave System, this map had a different BGM when it was first added. The BGM this map used is 'Aqua Tunnel 1' which is from the game Freedom Planet.
There is a Side B song made by Navola that didn't make it in-game. However, it was later remade and used for Sunken Citadel.
There is also a map made by tony333444 that is similar to this map, and this map is Abyss, a Hard Map.
An unofficial remake of this map, called Abyssal Tempest, was highlighted in Flood Escape 2 in March 2024.
If a Rescue Mission is activated on this map, the escapee will be located on the shipwreck. To access them, you will have to go to the backside of it.
During a Lost Page Map Event, the Lost Page will be found below the 3rd button.
