Pet Mutations are a core feature that was added in Update 1.14.0.
Any pets can be given mutations by using the Mutation Machine near the Egg Shop for 500,000,000, or by using Pet Mutation Shards The Mutation Machine allows player to mutate their pets of a level (age) 50+, gaining a permanent mutation, and a special ability. This process takes 1 hour to complete and then resets the pet's age back to 1. The waiting process can be skipped for 49R$. It can also be sped up by the Golem pet.
Once a pet has been put in, the mutation process cannot be cancelled.
Mutations don't stack. If an already mutated pet is put back in the Mutation machine, it will overwrite the existing mutation. An exception to this case is a Natural Rainbow Mutation from Rainbow Egg, which can stack with other mutation from the machine (e.g. Rainbow Dilophosaurus, Ascended Rainbow Spinosaurus).
